Football Development Schools (FDS) development centre programme is focused towards helping players develop the habits that will hopefully push players towards the elite level of English football.

Over the past 7 years the Development centres have seen well over a hundred players move into football clubs Academy and Centre of Excellence programmes and helps boys learn lots of individual skills both on and off the pitch in helping them to reach their potential.

Over recent years the programme has developed to include tours and residential trips that create a challenging and stimulating educational base for children to learn about becoming an elite player.

Players are asked to practice on various different fundamental skills away from sessions and FDS are extremely proud of the homework books, which help players learn away from sessions.

All practices are there to improve individual players and what the players put into the programme they ultimately get out of the programme.

The most important skills players require to develop within the development centre programme is the ability to learn and an attitude to want to improve. Developing these personal skills first will enable the player to follow.
