SEPTEMBER: TWO NEW DEVELOPMENT CENTRES

Football Development Schools are proud to announce that there will be two new Development Centres set up within the region starting next week. The two new venues will help strengthen Northampton Town's scouting and recruitment in the west of the county and will carry the format of the other ten centres, basing the players footballing education on individual skills and promoting the best attitude possible to make it into elite sport. The two new initiatives will be headed by Northampton Town Centre of Excellence (coe) staff who also work full time within the FDS structure. Scott Baines (coe U9 coach) is heading up the Rugby Development Centre, and has been growing the area over the past school year. This has lead to a strong foundation for FDS to develop the new centre. The centre will take place on a Tuesday evening. The Second new Development Centre will be based in the district of Brackley with Brian Page (coe U12 coach) working on developing the players within this area. While this is a new area for FDS to work within, there are several opportunities for FDS to help develop football in the area.
