JULY: GRENDON HALL PROVIDES THE PERFECT SETTING

The final week of development centres was kicked off with the first FDS games to be staged at Grendon Hall.

The setting was perfect for the boys to play in a safe and productive learning environment, with the coaches overall very happy with how the event took shape.

The younger age groups from Corby, Northampton and Peterborough played in two 7 a-side games, with the boys showing some excellent individual displays while also being able to take on the information that was given to them by the coaches. The basis for the coaches to develop the players game understanding further in the future was reason to announce the games a success.

As the younger age groups departed, the older players played a well contested match with both teams demonstrating an excellent understanding of their roles within the team. In particular pleasing the coaches with how well they have listened and taken on the information over the last month during the training sessions to produce such a cohesive team performance.

The FDS coaches would like to take this opportunity in thanking the staff at Grendon Hall for all of their help and look forward to using the facility again in the future. Having now used the facility the staff at FDS feel that future events similar to that which has taken place can be repeated along with ironing out any small problems there may have been on the evening.

FDS would also like to take this opportunity in thanking the parents for their patience, understanding and support in getting the players to Grendon, while commending the players on their impeccable behaviour, which we would of course expect from all our development centre players.
