Regional Academy Information
The FDS Regional Academies run in the 3 areas in which we operate. These are the EAST, which is based in Stamford and Rutland, the CENTRAL, which operates in Corby, Kettering, Wellingborough and Northampton and the WEST, which is based in Lutterworth, Daventry, Brackley and Rugby. These are for players from under 8 up to under 12, and aim to provide twice weekly local coaching to maximise improvement and training without the need for extra travel. This extra training time is very important, as this age group is the beginning of the ‘golden age of learning’ in which players can make great strides given the right coaching.
The Regional Academy system also provides in-house games, as well as games against development minded organisations and professional clubs. The details of fixtures and training are below.
